Lady Gaga first burst onto the music scene last year in 2008 with her smash hit, "Just Dance." Unkown artist at the time, Gaga's rise to fame quickly escaladed with more #1 hits such as "Poker Face," "Love Games," and recently acclaimed "Paparazzi." If you know anything about Lady Gaga, you must know that she is one hell of a weirdo! And if you don't... let's just say at first glance (picture/video) you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.

Today, Lady Gaga released the video of her newest hit "Bad Romance." The video delivers less than nothing one would expect from Gaga. The good. The bad. And the ugly.
I, personally, love Lady Gaga! Yes, she's a weird one, but I think that's what makes her stand out above the rest from all the other pop stars. I feel like the more popular she gets, the weirder she becomes. That's what makes her Lady Gaga! Her newest video delivers all of the great essentials that have made her who she is today: originality, quirkiness, and entertainment. She's definitely a step above the rest.
I usually don't follow pop music and I've heard some things about Lady Gaga (sexual gender issues) but you usually get the awkward/weird musical artists here and there. I honestly didn't know that she was the one who made "Poker Face" and now that I do know, that South Park episode just got a bit more funnier.
ReplyDeletei personally don't like Lady Gaga. I saw her performance on the mtv music awards and I thought it was disgusting. I get that she's all about the shock value, but I personally don't find it appealing.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that Lady Gaga is definitely one hell of a weirdo, but I do like her. I have respect for her that she has an "I don't care" attitude about what people think about her. She may dress weird and look crazy at times but it sure is working out for her. Almost all of her hits have gone #1 on the charts, and that's more to say than many other music artists. All I have to say about it is that Lady Gaga can keep on, keeping on because there's nothing wrong with expressing herself and succeeding at it.
ReplyDeleteIn all of the pictures I have seen Lady Gaga in, she simply looks ridiculous. It's as if she is dressing just to get attention. I don't think there is anything interesting about her. She looks like a mess to me. I don't have respect for someone who seems to just be doing things for attention.
